Helicopter Independent Contractor Pilot
We hire independent contractor Certified Flight Instructors with 300 hours total helicopter time
(TT) and RHC Safety
School to instruct in our flightschool. These are the insurance
requirements of the popular Pathfinder Indemnity Co. Ltd. to instruct. This is a
position for
instruction and also working on our photo contracts so you will
historically build helicopter time more rapidly than anywhere else. That 300 hours total time
(TT) helicopter will need to include 100 hours learning our photo contract and
you will pay for at $150 per hour This is specialized training to perform the
contract that isn't taught at any other school but is popular with students
from other schools that have less than 200 hours TT to transfer. We can and
will hire you for at 300 hours TT as an independent contractor while most operators require 1000 hours total
time or more. If you have 200
hours and a CFI you will need to pay for 100 hours @ $150 per hour ($15,000)
and this should take a month at the minimum for training to get you from
200 hours TT to 300 hours TT and to get an independent contractor position with us.
With an independent contractor position with us you should get to 1000 hours PIC in
less than 12 months with the bulk of those hours in the warm months of spring,
summer and fall. Most helicopters don't fly too much in the winter
and that includes us but we make up for it in the summer after almost closing
for the winter.If you have a commercial and 150 hours TT you'll need to pay for a CFI ($5000 for
rating with us) and 150 hours. You can transfer from
another school NOW and take advantages of our great rates: $250/hour
for the first 100 hours and $200//hour for the hours between 100 TT and 200 TT.
Between 200 hours TT and 300 hours TT it's $150 an hour. Our roster of pilots is generally split evenly between
students that completed all of their training with us and transfer students
that came from other schools. We guarantee to get you to 500 hours
TT and most will get to 1000 TT of pilot in command time but this is
largely dependent upon the flow of financing to incoming students and we offer
